Ecuador

Many of the Ecuadorian team have already had success when their country won a gold medal at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro two years ago. Under the leadership of Julius Caesar Roser, commonly known as the Emperor, Ecuador will try to win one of four places in the U20 World Cup. Any lack of qualifications for the tournament in Egypt at the end of this year would be considered a disappointment for this talented group. One view: Joao Rojas (Tecnico Universitario)

Paraguay

Given that seniors are high in the qualifying group for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, success is expected to flow into the under-20 team. Paraguay has not won the league since 1971 and has failed to make it to play bazaar the last two U20 World Cups. Argentine Adrián Coria trains a team of players who have already left Latin America to play in Europe.

Peru

The Incas had the son of one of their favorite sons, who led their team to these championships. Although Héctor Eleazar ‘Tito’ Chumpitaz does not yet train at a high level, he is expected to add a charm that will lead Peru to a certain level of success. Players will also have a greater incentive to succeed after their country has been robbed of its right to host a tournament after the FIFA split. Another bad news came for Peru, when striker Jairsinho Baylón lost four months and was missing from the championship.
